Art Deco Platinum Shield Sapphire European Diamond Earrings Burma No Heat GIA
A striking pair of original Art Deco earrings crafted in platinum, each centered with a unique natural Burmese sapphire of shield cut design. The sapphires are particularly rare, accompanied by a GIA laboratory report confirming their Burmese origin and the absence of heat treatment. Though shallowly cut, they face up as substantial 3-carat gems, while weighing approximately 1.75 carats each (3.50 carats total). The sapphires display minor surface abrasions consistent with age, yet remain in beautiful overall condition. Surrounding the sapphires is a graceful arrangement of baguette and old European cut diamonds, totaling approximately 1.00 carat, with bright white G–H color and VS1–SI1 clarity. The earrings are completed with clip-on backs, true to their period style, and weigh a solid 8.6 grams.
